Campus Safety Log: April 1-8

April 1

9:05 a.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety assisted the Office of Student Development in contacting a student.

1:32 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Raub House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

April 2

7:50 a.m. MEDICAL, Raub House. A student was transported by ambulance for treatment.

April 3

No incidents were reported.

April 4

No incidents were reported.

April 5

12:30 a.m. TROUBLE ALARM, 675 S. West. The Public Safety Building reported line trouble in the fire alarm system. The alarm was activated when a detector was disconnected. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

5:30 a.m. NOISE, 240 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety responded to a report of loud music.

April 6

1:15 a.m. CANNABIS VIOLATION, Main Campus Grounds. A Campus Safety Officer observed a student lighting a glass pipe that allegedly contained cannabis. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

3:37 a.m. RECKLESS CONDUCT, 240 W. Tompkins. The Galesburg Fire and Police Departments and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a discharged fire extinguisher.

7:12 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Post Hall. The Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by steam from a shower.

4:30 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Raub House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

5:05 p.m. INFORMATION, Post Hall. Campus Safety responded to a report of a smell of smoke in a suite.

5:30 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Post Hall. The Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

April 7

No incidents were reported.

April 8

12:10 p.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety responded to a report of a suspicious person.

6:45 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Elder House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

11:00 p.m. NOISE, Campbell House. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.
