Letter to the Editor: Student Senate election

Why are the election results so surprising? I did some research. Four people ran for Communications Chair, not two. Is it unfathomable that a dark horse would win a close election? Further, the winner’s campaign platform had two planks, both displayed for my and your convenience on his posters: 1) Distributing the Senate minutes through interpretive dance 2) Creating a 24-hour public space. What about those indicate that he is not concerned with how the campus and the Senate communicate? Or, for that matter, what about his article about Senate’s failure to represent the student body on the Honor Board amendment seems to convey a fiendish disregard for communication? But, perhaps the more Kozonian question to ask is, what if you’re right? What are you going to do about it?
