10:00 am FIRE ALARM, 251 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by steam from a shower.

10:00 am CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Alumni Hall. A lower window was discovered broken on the north side of the building.

10:15 am NOISE, Phi Gamma Delta – 218 S. Cedar. Campus Safety responded to a report of loud music.

10:50 am FIRE ALARM, 251 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by steam from a shower.

10:35 pm FIRE ALARM, Elder House. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by steam from a shower.

10:45 pm NOISE, Sellew House. Campus Safety responded to a report of loud music.

1:05 am SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Hamblin Hall. Campus Safety Officer on patrol observed student entering room from an opened window. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1:45 am WATER LEAK, 516 S. West. Plumber was called in for a water leak.

10:20 pm CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Center for Fine Arts. Benches and lamp posts were painted.

12:40 am TROUBLE ALARM, Phi Gamma Delta – 218 S. Cedar. Public Safety Building reported line trouble in fire alarm system.

4:10 pm MISCHIEVIOUS CONDUCT, Old Main. Juveniles skateboarding were asked to leave campus.

June 17

4:00 pm INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Campus informed of boil order due to flooding. Bottled water was distributed.

4:20 pm LOST OR MISPLACED ITEM, Memorial Gym. An item was reported missing from Fitness Center and later found.

1:55 am TROUBLE ALARM, Peterson House. Public Safety Building reported line trouble in fire alarm system.

June 19

10:33 am MISCHIEVIOUS CONDUCT, Hamblin Hall. Juveniles reported throwing a bottle at the building.

10:50 am FIRE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by cleaning crew.

12:17 pm LOST OR MISPLACED ITEM, ABLE House-168 W. Tompkins. Keys were found.

11:28 am 911 HANG UP, 251 S. West. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found.

10:06 am TROUBLE ALARM, Seymour Hall. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

2:25 pm CRIMINAL TRESPASS, Fleming Fieldhouse. Campus Safety responded to a report of juveniles inside the fieldhouse.

6:05 am TROUBLE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm. Work order submitted to correct the problem.

8:30 am SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Science and Math Center. Campus Safety received a report of a suspicious incident.

4:05 pm WELL-BEING CHECK, Hamblin Hall. Campus Safety checked on the well-being of a student.

5:00 pm MISCHIEVIOUS CONDUCT, Warehouse. Graffiti was found painted on south and east side of warehouse.

1:00 pm INFORMATION, Off Campus. Information was received regarding possible safety issue.

2:20 pm INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety was requested to check on a student’s well being.

5:34 pm 911 HANG UP, Hamblin Hall. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call.

5:50 pm INFORMATION, Fleming Fieldhouse. Information was received on unauthorized use of facilities.

7:10 pm 911 HANG UP, Main Campus Grounds. The call was determined to be unfounded.

9:20 pm NOISE, Beta Theta Pi. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

5:57 pm LOST OR MISPLACED ITEM, Main Campus Grounds. Student reported losing a wallet.

6:25 pm 911 HANG UP, 240 W. Tompkins. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found.

5:50 am FIRE ALARM, Sigma Nu – 556 S. West St. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department, and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

3:35 pm 911 HANG UP, 251 S. West. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call from an outside emergency phone. No problems were found.

July 6

10:00 am CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Knosher Bowl. South side of press box was discovered spray painted.

10:28 am FIRE ALARM, Beta Theta Pi. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by an aerosol can.

July 9

3:25 pm FIRE ALARM, Hamblin Hall. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by an attic heat detector.

July 12

2:10 am UNSECURED DOORS/BUILDING, Main Campus Grounds. A construction trailer was found unlocked.

9:00 am INFORMATION, Hamblin Hall. Campus Safety received a report of water in the basement hallway after a heavy rain. Custodial staff was called in to clean up the water.

9:10 pm FIRE ALARM Sherwin House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

July 15

5:30 pm POWER OUTAGE, Main Campus Grounds. Power was lost to multiple buildings.

July 18

4:00 pm THREATS, Main Campus Grounds. A report was received of possible threats.

July 19

4:10 pm LOST OR MISPLACED ITEM, Main Campus Grounds. A cell phone was reported lost.

11:01 pm 911 HANG UP, Main Campus Grounds. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call from an outside emergency phone. No problems were found.

July 20

3:43 pm FIRE ALARM, Hamblin Hall. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by an attic heat detector.

July 22

8:30 am INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Information was received regarding possible credit card fraud.

July 23

8:15 am FOUND PROPERTY, Warehouse. An abandoned bike was found.

9:03 am INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. A suspicious incident was reported to Campus Safety.

12:20 am SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, 284 W. Tompkins. Galesburg Police Department received a call regarding a suspicious person in the area. Subject was transported to his residence by Galesburg Police Department.

July 26

7:20 pm 911 HANG UP, Old Main. The Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found, possibly due to problems with the phone lines.

9:35 pm FIRE ALARM, Sigma Chi. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

July 28

9:20 am INFORMATION, Dining Services. Maintenance called in to repair a freezer.

10:26 am FIRE ALARM, Griffith House. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department, and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a maintenance worker.

12:00 pm SAFETY CONCERN/HAZZARD, Phi Gamma Delta – 218 S. Cedar. Multiple safety concerns were found in the house.

July 29

3:04 pm TROUBLE ALARM, Hamblin Hall. Trouble alarm activated by someone tampering with a detector. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

5:20 pm TROUBLE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm. Work order submitted to correct the problem.

July 31

4:00 am 911 HANG UP, Post Hall. Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a 911 hang up call from a room in Post. The room was unoccupied when checked and a check of the building found no signs of any trouble.

August 1

7:30 am FIRE ALARM, Raub House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

10:15 pm 911 HANG UP, Hamblin Hall. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found.

August 2

9:20 pm NOISE, Hamblin Hall. Campus Safety responded to a report of loud music.

August 3

7:20 am TROUBLE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Trouble alarm activated by thunderstorm.

August 4

2:00 pm INFORMATION, Old Main. Galesburg resident asked to leave campus.

August 5

4:15 am TROUBLE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a malfunction in the system. A work order was submitted.

4:35 am 911 HANG UP, 284 W. Tompkins. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found.

12:30 pm FIRE ALARM, Elder House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

August 7

5:15 am TROUBLE ALARM , 260 W. Tompkins – Jazz House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a malfunction in the system. A work order was submitted.

7:00 am UNSECURED DOORS/BUILDING, 697 S. West St. Custodian reported finding a door unsecured.

August 9

11:30 am UNSECURED DOORS/BUILDING, Fleming Fieldhouse. Campus Safety Officer on patrol found doors to fieldhouse propped open.

1:55 pm 911 HANG UP, Post Hall. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found.

5:30 pm 911 HANG UP, Hamblin Hall. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call from the outside emergency phone. The area was checked and no problems were found.

August 10

3:15 am FIRE ALARM, Sigma Nu – 556 S. West St. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm. No cause was found for the alarm activation.

August 11

10:10 am SAFETY CONCERN/HAZZARD, 240 W. Tompkins. Smoke detector covered. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

August 13

10:05 am SAFETY CONCERN/HAZZARD, Hamblin Hall. Smoke detector was found covered. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

August 14

5:55 am INFORMATION, Science and Math Center. Alarm accidentally activated by employee.

August 16

8:00 pm 911 HANG UP, 251 S. West. Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety checked area after receiving 911 calls from Hamblin and 251 South West outside phones.

August 18

6:40 am TROUBLE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Trouble alarm activated by dirty detector.

1:19 pm FIRE ALARM, Neifert House. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a pull station.

5:30 pm FIRE ALARM, 265 S. Academy. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

5:30 pm CANNABIS VIOLATION, 265 S. Academy. Baggie containing substance that appeared to be cannabis found in common area during fire alarm.

6:50 pm FIRE ALARM, Sigma Nu – 556 S. West St. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

August 21

8:15 pm FIRE ALARM, Sigma Nu – 556 S. West St. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

August 23

9:52 am TROUBLE ALARM, Post Hall. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

August 24

5:24 am TROUBLE ALARM, Post Hall. Public Safety Building reported trouble with the fire alarm system. A work order was submitted.

8:20 pm CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Main Campus Grounds. Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety received a report of damage to a motorcycle.

August 25

7:14 pm 911 HANG UP, Hamblin Hall. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found.

7:35 pm 911 HANG UP, 251 S. West. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call. No problems were found.

11:50 pm ANIMAL COMPLAINT, Seymour Hall. Bat reported in hallway was caught and removed.

August 27

10:00 pm FIRE ALARM, Campbell House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

August 28

10:40 am FIRE ALARM, Beta Theta Pi. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

9:30 pm INFORMATION, Memorial Gym. A work-related injury was reported.

August 29

7:33 pm FIRE ALARM, 265 S. Academy. Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by cigarette smoke.

August 31

5:10 am UNSECURED DOORS/BUILDING, Phi Gamma Delta – 218 S. Cedar. Campus Safety Officer on patrol found unsecured doors and the interior of the building was checked.

September 3

3:50 pm FIRE ALARM, Beta Theta Pi. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

September 4

3:00 am TROUBLE ALARM, 251 S. West. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm. Work order submitted to correct the problem.

3:55 pm FIRE ALARM, Sigma Chi – 616 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm possibly activated by a fan.

September 5

10:20 am FIRE ALARM, Neifert House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

1:30 pm FIRE ALARM, 284 W. Tompkins. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

5:50 pm FIRE ALARM, Sigma Chi – 616 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by sawdust.

September 6

8:11 am THEFT, Sellew House. A student reported a bike stolen from a bike rack to Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety.

10:35 pm NOISE, Peterson House. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

September 7

12:40 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Main Campus Grounds. A student was observed with open alcohol at corner of South and West. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

12:05 am TROUBLE ALARM, Post Hall. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm. Work order submitted to correct the problem.

12:50 am FIRE ALARM, Elder House. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a pull station. No smoke or fire was present in the building.

September 8

1:20 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Hamblin Hall. Underage student was found intoxicated. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1:30 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Sherwin House. An intoxicated subject was reported causing a disturbance. The matter was referred to the Office of Student.

4:15 pm TROUBLE ALARM, Hamblin Hall. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm that was possibly weather related. A work order was submitted.

4:35 pm TROUBLE ALARM, TKE House. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm that was possibly weather related. A work order was submitted.

4:53 pm TROUBLE ALARM, Phi Gamma Delta – 218 S. Cedar. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm that was possibly weather related. A work order was submitted.

4:56 pm TROUBLE ALARM, 251 S. West. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm that was possibly weather related. A work order was submitted.

6:00 pm TROUBLE ALARM, Beta Theta Pi. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm that was possibly weather related. A work order was submitted.

8:06 pm THEFT, ABLE House-168 W. Tompkins. Three pairs of shoes were reported stolen from an unsecured area.

8:28 pm TROUBLE ALARM, Williston Hall. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm that was possibly weather related. A work order was submitted.

9:08 pm TROUBLE ALARM, 675 S. West. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm that was possibly weather related. A work order was submitted.

11:00 pm SAFETY CONCERN/HAZZARD, Elder House. Water leaked from Elder 2 bathroom into Elder 1. Custodial staff was called in to clean up.

September 9

12:20 am TROUBLE ALARM, Elder House. Trouble alarm was activated by water.

6:15 am FIRE ALARM, George Davis Hall. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm. Building was checked and no apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

5:30 pm SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, George Davis Hall. A suspicious incident reported to Campus Safety.

September 10

1:30 am FIRE ALARM, Seymour Hall. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a pull station. No smoke or fire was present in the building.

1:45 am TROUBLE ALARM , Beta Theta Pi. Public Safety Building reported a trouble alarm. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

5:45 am FIRE ALARM, Sherwin House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

12:10 pm THEFT, Drew House. Student reported a bike stolen from a bike rack to Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety.

September 11

7:10 am FIRE ALARM, 516 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm. The building was checked, and no apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

7:59 pm 911 HANG UP, Post Hall. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang up call from a room in Post. Occupant of room had used the phone and did not know they had called 911.

9:00 pm FOUND PROPERTY, Seymour Hall. A bag with clothing and books left in Hard Knox Café.

10:30 pm SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Neifert House. Subject reported a subject asking for money outside of Neifert.

September 12

9:35 pm ALCOHOL VIOLATION, 516 S. West. Students observed playing a “beer pong” style of game. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

9:35 pm CANNABIS VIOLATION, 516 S. West. Pipe and substance believed to be cannabis confiscated from students. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

September 13

2:30 pm MEDICAL, Post Hall. Student transported by ambulance for treatment after slipping on steps.

8:00 pm INFORMATION, S. West St. – 200 block. Campus Safety received a report of two subjects in the area carrying bolt cutters. One subject was arrested by Galesburg Police Department.

September 14

12:55 am ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Hamblin Hall. Evidence of a “beer pong” type game in progress was found during a routine patrol. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

7:05 am TROUBLE ALARM, Main Campus Grounds. Public Safety Building reported multiple trouble alarms that were possibly weather related. Work orders were submitted.

4:45 pm CRIMNIAL DAMAGE, S. West St. – 600 block. Student reported damage caused by attempted burglary to a vehicle.

6:10 pm SUICIDE THREAT, Main Campus Grounds. Galesburg Police Department, Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Hospital’s Ambulance Services and Campus Safety responded to a report of a subject threatening suicide.

September 15

12:05 am FIRE ALARM, Raub House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

10:35 pm FIRE ALARM, Elder House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.
