Irwin to lead cross country team in second year at Knox

Last season for the cross country was “a transition year” according to head coach Patrick Irwin. Though there were improvements from both teams last year when Coach Irwin first stepped up as head coach, Irwin expects even better results this season. The team has already run in two meets, improving in each one and competing well together. Coach Irwin is looking for more improvements from both the mens’ and women’s teams as the season progresses saying that, “they are a much stronger team than last year.”

His goal for the season? “To place top five in the conference.”

The conference meet is at home on November 1st.
