When asked why she chose to teach Introduction to Literature and Modern & Contemporary Poetry at Knox, Beth Marzoni, a 2004 Knox College graduate, said, “It’s a chance to give back the good I got from Knox.”
After receiving her B.A. in English Literature from Knox, she became a Ph.D. candidate at Western Michigan University. She taught for three years before coming back to Knox to teach for her first fall term.
Marzoni said Knox is “a great place to teach.”
Just as Knox shaped her, Marzoni hopes her classrooms are fun places that develop critical thinking and teach people to communicate articulately. She also hopes her students describe her teaching style as “informal but challenging.”
