Campus Safety Log: Feb. 18-24

February 18 to February 24

FEBRUARY 18

10:10 a.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Ford Center for the Fine Arts. Alcohol was found in a dressing room. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

9 p.m. FOUND PROPERTY, 265 S. Academy. A backpack left on the sidewalk was taken to the Campus Safety Office.

11:25 p.m. NOISE, 240 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

FEBRUARY 19

1:42 a.m. NOISE, Hamblin Hall. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

5:45 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Conger. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

6:30 p.m. BURGLARY, Old Main. Pain medication and other items were taken from an office in Old Main.

FEBRUARY 20

4:01 p.m. 911 HANG-UP, 368 S. Academy- Tri Delta. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang-up from the emergency phone outside of 368 S. Academy. No problems were found in the area.

4:15 p.m. UNWANTED SUBJECT, Fleming Fieldhouse. Subjects who had, on previous occasions, been warned to stay out of athletic facilities were again told to leave by the Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety.

10:50 p.m. NOISE, Hamblin Hall. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud music.

FEBRUARY 21

4 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Post Hall. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

FEBRUARY 22

1:10 a.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Main Campus Grounds. Open alcohol was confiscated from students at the corner of South and Tompkins. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1:32 a.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety was requested to check on a student’s well being. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1:50 a.m. INFORMATION, George Davis Hall. A suspicious incident was reported to Campus Safety.

2:30 a.m. DISTURBANCE, Phi Gamma Delta- 218 S. Cedar. Campus Safety intervened in an argument between students. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

FEBRUARY 23

12:30 p.m. MEDICAL, George Davis Hall. Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Services were called to check on an ill student.

FEBRUARY 24

6:45 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Seymour Hall. Carbon monoxide detectors were missing from halls and damaged.
