Campus Safety Log: Feb. 25-March 3

FEBRUARY 25

2:25 a.m. FIRE ALARM, 265 S. Academy. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department, and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

11:30 p.m. NOISE, Williston Hall. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

FEBRUARY 26

2:25 a.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Williston Hall. Students were found in the basement common area with open alcohol. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

2:35 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Williston Hall. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department, and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a pull station. No smoke or fire was present in the building.

11:30 p.m. THEFT, Off Campus. A student reported a jacket containing dorm keys was stolen while they were walking on Cherry Street by the courthouse.

FEBRUARY 27

12:25 a.m. NOISE, 284 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

7 p.m. FIRE ALARM, International House- 418 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department, and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

FEBRUARY 28

11:25 p.m. INFORMATION, Phi Gamma Delta- 218 S. Cedar. Traffic signs found in student rooms during a fire alarm were confiscated. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

11:30 p.m. TROUBLE ALARM, Phi Gamma Delta- 218 S. Cedar. Campus Safety received a report of a trouble alarm in the fire alarm system.

11:30 p.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD, Phi Gamma Delta- 218 S. Cedar. Safety issues were listed as needing attention. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MARCH 1

12:45 a.m. MEDICAL, Williston Hall. A student was transported to Cottage Emergency Room for treatment related to overconsumption of alcohol. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1 a.m. CANNABIS VIOLATION, Williston Hall. A bong with cannabis residue was confiscated. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MARCH 2

11:50 a.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD, Wilson House. An oven was left on overnight.

2:45 p.m. THEFT, Bookstore. A student was observed shoplifting. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MARCH 3

11:25 p.m. MEDICAL, Seymour Hall. A student was transported for treatment after having breathing problems. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.
