Caf Adventures: Hidden foods

Did you know we have jalapeños in the caf? Or walnuts? Our cafeteria here at Knox is stocked with lots of good foods, but many of us don’t know it. Here’s a list of tucked-away foods and where you’ll find them.

Jalapeños – next to the mustard and ketchup

Walnuts – in the containers next to the chips

Crumbled Oreo cookies – in the containers by the ice cream cones

Fresh black pepper – with the hot sauce and steak sauce by the ketchup

Plain yogurt – by the margarine and butter

Bagels – top shelf of the bread cabinet

Microwave (yes, this isn’t a food but a lot of people don’t know that we

have one) – near the ketchup and spice rack

Granola – in the cereal & dessert room by the milk

Melted cheese (for nachos) – in the covered pots by the waffle griddles

Raisins – in the containers next to the chips

Chocolate chips – in the containers by the ice cream cones

Olive oil – by the salad dressings

Sour cream – by the margarine and butter

Lemon slices – by the teabags near the hot chocolate machine

Honey – near the peanut butter and chocolate hazelnut spread
