Stephen Bailey steps down as associate dean of the college

As of January first of next year, Associate Professor of English and chair of the department Lori Haslem will serve as Associate Dean of the College. The position has been held by Stephen Bailey since 1984, making him the longest-serving Associate Dean in the college’s history.

The Associate Dean deals with academic advising and the Honor Code, among other issues.

Bailey will move into the position of director of the new Center for Research and Advanced Study, funded by a grant Knox received in 2007.

Check back next week for a more in-depth look at these appointments.
