CAMPUS SAFETY LOG

September 24 to September 29

SEPTEMBER 24

12:55 a.m. MEDICAL, 251 S. West. A student was transported for the treatment of an illness.

8:45 p.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Hall. Personnel matter.

SEPTEMBER 25

1 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Seymour Hall. A window was broken.

2 p.m. FIRE ALARM, 270 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by steam from a shower.

4:07 p.m. 911 HANG UP, Umbeck Science and Mathematics Center. Public Safety Building reported a 911 call from a room in Umbeck Science and Mathematics Center. 911 was called by mistake; no problems were found.

9:47 p.m. UNWANTED SUBJECT, 265 S. Academy. A subject asking for money was asked to leave campus.

10:50 p.m. UNWANTED SUBJECT, 270 W. Tompkins. Several unwanted students not living at the residence were asked to leave.

11:15 p.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZZARD. 265 S. Academy. An unregistered party was being held with alcohol present. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

SEPTEMBER 26

2:10 a.m. MEDICAL, Griffith House. A student was transported to Cottage Hospital for treatment of a cut.

8:54 a.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. A student was referred to Health Services.

9:26 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Sellew House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No cause was found for the alarm activation.

10:05 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Raub House. Campus Safety reponsded to an alarm activated by a hair straightener.

6:30 p.m. THEFT, Seymour Hall. A bike was stolen from a bike rack at the front of the building.

7:30 p.m. INFORMATION, Post Hall. Campus Safety responded to a report of threats. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

10:32 p.m. 911 HANG UP, Old Main. Public Safety Building reported a 911 call from a phone in Old Main. No problems were found.

SEPTEMBER 27

1:20 a.m. NOISE, Conger. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

10:20 a.m. WATER LEAK, Post Hall. A water leak was reported in Post 8. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

3:40 p.m. THEFT, 240 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety responded to a report of a bike theft in progress. Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety recovered the bicycle and spoke to the juvenile who took the bike.

4:25 p.m. DISTURBANCE, Knosher Bowl. Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a report of juveniles causing a disturbance

28 SEPTEMBER

2:18 a.m. FIRE ALARM, 530 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated when a handle melted on a coffee pot.

4 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Sellew House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No cause was found for the alarm activation. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

7:16 a.m. MEDICAL, Neifert Hall. A student was transported for the treatment of an illness.
