September 17 to October 18

SEPTEMBER 17

11 a.m. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Off Campus. A report was received of students being harassed by subjects at a gas station.

OCTOBER 7

3:45 p.m. TROUBLE ALARM, Phi Gamma Delta- 218 S. Cedar. Public Safety Building reported trouble in the fire alarm system. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

OCTOBER 9

12:30 a.m. THEFT, 687 S. West. A purse was reported stolen between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m.

OCTOBER 13

10:05 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Raub House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm thought to be activated by a heavy perfume smell.

11:36 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Sigma Chi- 616 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by steam from a shower.

OCTOBER 14

12:41 a.m. TROUBLE ALARM, Conger. System trouble was caused by a dirty detector.

8:55 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Conger. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a hair dryer.

12:45 p.m. THEFT, Hamblin Hall. A bike was reported stolen.

2:26 p.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, 240 W. Tompkins. Maintenance workers reported damage to the student storage units in the basement.

4 p.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. A suspicious incident was reported to Campus Safety.

6 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Sherwin. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No cause was found for the alarm.

OCTOBER 15

7:35 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Main Campus Grounds. A rear window on a Dining Services van was broken out.

6:58 p.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety received a report of people walking on West Street involved in a domestic dispute.

10:41 p.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Seymour Hall. A door was damaged. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

11:15 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Beta Theta Pi. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No cause was found for the alarm activation.

OCTOBER 16

4:10 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, Main Campus Grounds. A student reported that someone had backed into their car, damaging it.

8:45 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Neal House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No cause was found for the alarm.

OCTOBER 17

1:15 a.m. FIRE ALARM, 270 W. Tompkins. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by an air freshener.

12:05 p.m. WELL-BEING CHECK, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety checked on a student’s well-being. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

4:34 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Kappa Kappa Gamma. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by burned food.

6:27 p.m. MEDICAL, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety assisted a student who had twisted their ankle. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

10:35 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Sellew House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No cause was found for the alarm activation.

OCTOBER 18

1:30 a.m. PUBLIC INDECENCY, Williston Hall. Campus Safety officers on patrol observed a subject urinating in public. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Williston Hall. Illegal consumption of alcohol by an underage student. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.
