Campus Safety Log: April 6-13

APRIL 6

5:10 a.m. NOISE, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

11:30 a.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Threatening text messages were received by a student. The matter is under investigation.

10:50 p.m. NOISE, Raub House. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

APRIL 7

9:30 p.m. INFORMATION, 251 S. West. A vending machine was tampered with.

APRIL 9

2:10 p.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Umbeck Science and Mathematics Center. A power cord was cut on vending machines in the basement and by the loading dock.

4:10 p.m. INFORMATION, Old Main. A banner was removed from the south side of the building.

5:07 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Post Hall. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No cause was found for the alarm activation.

5:55 p.m. DAMAGE, Wilson House. A window was broken.

10:40 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Post Hall. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a pull station. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

11:20 p.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, 516 S. West. A student was observed with open alcohol during a routine patrol. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

11:24 p.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Post Hall. A student was observed with open alcohol during a routine patrol. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

APRIL 11

12:15 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, 240 W. Tompkins. Campus Safety Officers on routine patrol found that the south entrance glass door had been broken out. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

1:35 a.m. UNWANTED SUBJECT, Beta Theta Pi. Campus Safety responded to a report of an unwanted subject. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

8:55 a.m. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Gale House. Campus Safety checked on a report of a suspicious vehicle in the driveway of the Gale House.

11:30 a.m. FIRE ALARM, 697 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by cooking.

5:45 p.m. THEFT, Post Hall. A student reported the theft of a cell phone.

7:45 p.m. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Post Hall. Harassing and threatening e-mails were received by a student.

APRIL 12

2:15 a.m. NOISE, Post Hall. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

12:35 p.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Hall. A couch was reported missing from the third floor lounge.

APRIL 13

12:35 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Seymour Hall. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a pull station. No apparent cause was found for the alarm to be activated.
