Volleyball ends season in Milwaukee

Knox’s volleyball team opened the season with three wins in their first four games. Unfortunately, they closed it with three wins in their last 22.

Having lost 14 matches in a row—including two at the Cardinal Stritch University “Howlin’ with the Wolves” tournament last weekend—the Prairie Fire were able to regroup in their final match of the season, easily defeating Calumet College of St. Joseph 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-11).

Freshman Kaylie Prince led the Prairie Fire with 16 kills. Junior Kelly Ricketts had 11 kills. Together, Ricketts and Prince notched 27 of the team’s 31 kills.

Knox (6-20, 0-9 MWC) lost their first two games of the tournament. The first was a 3-0 loss to Cardinal Stritch on Friday night (25-14, 25-10, 25-13). On Saturday morning, the Prairie Fire lost to Clarke College (25-19, 25-13, 25-23).
