Campus Safety Log: Nov. 1-7

NOVEMBER 1

9 a.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Information was received regarding a check fraud scam.

NOVEMBER 2

9:30 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Sherwin House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.  

NOVEMBER 4

10:30 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Sherwin House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.  

1:30 p.m. PRIVATE PROPERTY ACCIDENT, Main Campus Grounds. Vehicle damage reported.

NOVEMBER 5

1:20 a.m. NOISE, Furrow House. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects.

2:05 a.m. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Main Campus Grounds. A suspicious vehicle was observed in Knox-Cedar parking lot.

6 a.m. FOUND PROPERTY, Ford Center for the Fine Arts. A cell phone was found and returned to its owner.

12:40 p.m. INFORMATION, ASC – 368 S. Prairie. Information was reported on personnel related matter.

1 p.m. UNWANTED SUBJECT, Seymour Library. A Galesburg resident was asked to leave the campus.

5 p.m. WELL-BEING CHECK, Main Campus Grounds. A well-being check was performed.

7:30 p.m. FOUND PROPERTY, Seymour Union. A wallet was found.

7:50 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Conger House. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.  

9:16 p.m. NOISE, 516 S. West. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud music.

10:23 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Casa Latina. The Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by individuals smoking in a student room. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

NOVEMBER 6

3 a.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Knosher Bowl. An intoxicated subject was transported off campus.

10:25 p.m. INFORMATION, Phi Gamma Delta. Property taken by a student was returned to the house by Campus Safety. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

NOVEMBER 7

2:20 a.m. DISTURBANCE, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety responded to a report of subjects arguing outside near Conger-Neal. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

4:10 p.m. MEDICAL, Memorial Gym. A student was transported for treatment of sports-related injuries. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

NOVEMBER 8

12:15 a.m. WELL-BEING CHECK, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety checked on the well being of a student at the request of another student. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

8:42 a.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD, International House. A smoke detector was found covered. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

10:30 a.m. WELL-BEING CHECK, Main Campus Grounds. Information was provided regarding a well-being check.
