Knox’s 19th President selected

On Sunday morning, Dean of the College Larry Breitborde informed students by e-mail that the Board of Trustees has selected the next President of Knox College.

The President-elect will be introduced in the Skylight Room in Seymour Union at 11 a.m. According to Breitborde’s e-mail, the President-elect will then “spend the day on campus, including eating lunch with students and meeting with faculty, staff, and press.”

The Board of Trustees met this weekend to select the President. In January and February, the final three candidates—as selected by the Presidential Search Committee—visited campus to meet with students, staff and faculty.

Knox will follow its shortened class schedule tomorrow in order to allow for all members of the community to attend the introduction.

This week’s edition of The Knox Student will have full coverage of the event and student reaction.
