Campus Safety Log: Feb. 15-20

FEBRUARY 15

2 p.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Seymour Hall. The phone lines to ATM were cut.

8:40 p.m. FIRE ALARM, 516 S. West. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

FEBRUARY 16

9 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Conger. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

5:50 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Conger. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by persons smoking in a student room. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

FEBRUARY 17

2 p.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Information was received regarding a possible security issue.

9:16 p.m. UNWANTED SUBJECT, Fleming Fieldhouse. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of unwanted subjects refusing to leave.

FEBRUARY 18

12:55 a.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Hall. Burned paper was found in a restroom on the first floor.

6:25 a.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Hall. A 911 call was accidentally made from a cell phone.

FEBRUARY 19

10:36 a.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD, Quad loading dock. A railing was removed, causing a safety issue.

MEDICAL, Neifert. A student was transported for treatment.

8:44 p.m. FIRE ALARM, 251 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by burned food.

10:14 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Raub. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

5:55 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Sigma Nu. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a student smoking in a room. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

FEBRUARY 20

12:15 a.m. FIRE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a pull station. No smoke or fire was present.

1:33 a.m. 911 HANG UP, Main Campus Grounds. A 911 call was accidentally made from a cell phone.

3:16 a.m. DISTURBANCE, Hamblin. Campus Safety responded to a report of a possible fight in Hamblin lobby. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

3:25 a.m. LOST OR MISPLACED ITEM, Main Campus Grounds. A student reported a lost cell phone.
