Campus Safety Log: April 12-May 8

APRIL 12

2:50 p.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. Information was received regarding a possible security issue. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MAY 2

11:40 a.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. A conflict between students resulting in a possible physical assault was reported to Campus Safety. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MAY 3

1:37 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Sherwin. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a pull station. No smoke or fire was present.

10:30 a.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. A suspicious call reported as a possible scam was found to be a misunderstanding.

11:40 a.m. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Main Campus Grounds. A possible harassment was reported to Campus Safety. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

8:20 p.m. FIRE ALARM, 251 S. West. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by steam from a shower.

MAY 5

2 p.m. FIRE ALARM, 513 S. West. Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the activation.

6:15 p.m. CANNABIS VIOLATION, Campbell. Campus Safety received a complaint of student smoking cannabis. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MAY 6

10:30 a.m. WELL-BEING CHECK, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety checked on students with medical issues. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MAY 7

12:30 p.m. MEDICAL, Seymour Hall. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Services and Campus Safety responded to Dining Services, where a person had fainted.

MAY 8

12:23 a.m. MEDICAL, Main Campus Grounds. A student was transported for treatment after reporting the urge for self-harm.

12:55 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Beta House. A window in a door was broken out.
