Campus Safety Log: Sept. 11-27

SEPTEMBER 11

12:45 p.m. MEDICAL, Main Campus Grounds. A spectator was injured while attending a Junior Football League game.

SEPTEMBER 15

5 p.m. INFORMATION, Off-campus. A student was involved in a traffic accident off-campus.

SEPTEMBER 19

3 p.m. INFORMATION, Main Campus Grounds. A student reported being harassed by a male subject from off-campus on the sidewalk that runs west of Seymour Hall.

SEPTEMBER 20

2:30 a.m. UNSECURED DOOR, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety Officers on patrol found an unsecured door.

SEPTEMBER 21

6:35 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, South and West Street. Galesburg Police Department, Galesburg Fire Department and Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Services responded to a two-vehicle accident with minor injuries.

SEPTEMBER 22

3:53 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Griffith. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

5:45 p.m. CRIMINAL TRESPASS, 386 S. Academy. A subject was arrested for trespassing after causing a disturbance.

SEPTEMBER 23

10:37 p.m. FIRE ALARM, International House – 418 S. West. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by burned food.

SEPTEMBER 24

12:10 a.m. INFORMATION, Off-campus location. A report was received regarding an incidence off-campus.

1:10 a.m. MEDICAL, Williston. A student was transported for the treatment of overconsumption of alcohol. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

9 a.m. INFORMATION, Warehouse. Graffiti spray was painted on the building. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

SEPTEMBER 25

12:35 a.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Seymour Hall. A student was transported for the treatment of overconsumption of alcohol. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1:50 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Hamblin. Dry erase message boards in the hallway were damaged. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

2:15 a.m. NOISE, Hamblin. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

2:25 p.m. NOISE, Hamblin. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud music. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

3:15 a.m. WELL-BEING CHECK, 396 S. Academy. Campus Safety checked on the well being of a student at the request of another student.

2:53 p.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD, Post Hall. An electrician was called in to check on an electrical problem in Post basement. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

3:20 p.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Beta House. A fire extinguisher was damaged. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

3:50 p.m. ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, 284 W. Tompkins. Water damage occurred from a leak in a drain. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

SEPTEMBER 26

7:37 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Sigma Chi. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by steam from a shower.

8:30 a.m. INFORMATION, 284 W. Tompkins. A 6-foot table was reported missing from a laundry room.

SEPTEMBER 27

2:20 a.m. UNSECURED DOOR, Main Campus Grounds. Doors were found unsecured during a routine patrol.
