How we procrastinate

Although putting off one’s work tends to be viewed poorly, many students find they produce their best work under pressure. Freshman Erik Stephenson explained how “the motivation just isn’t there when you know you have time and know you’ll do fine based on your previous performance … then when the deadline’s there I become this god of the English language and pull some amazing, intelligent things out of my a–.”
Although for many students this may be the case, freshman Adrita Deb Burman still feels “guilty and awful” when she puts things off to the last minute.
Regardless of how awful or accomplished one may feel about the act of procrastinating, it doesn’t appear to be something that will go away any time soon. Freshman Stephen Ford explained. “It’s inevitable, yet we get our work done. Sometimes other things may be more important than our studies but we’ll still graduate.”
In the meantime, enjoy TKS’ list of ways to procrastinate and drink lots of coffee.
Note: In the true spirit of procrastination, this information was all compiled within four hours of the deadline.
