Campus Safety Log: Jan. 6-31

JANUARY 6

1 a.m. CANNABIS VIOLATION, Conger. Campus Safety received a report of cannabis being smoked in the building. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

JANUARY 22

12:30 a.m. INFORMATION, Beta House. A complaint was received regarding a party that occurred on Jan. 21. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

JANUARY 25

2 p.m. DOMESTIC, Main Campus Grounds. Campus Safety was advised of an unwanted person possibly coming to visit a member of the community. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

2:15 p.m. FIRE ALARM, George Davis Hall. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by dust.

JANUARY 26

10 a.m. INFORMATION, Ford Center for the Fine Arts. Information was received regarding a possible security issue.

11 a.m. INFORMATION, Off-campus location. Campus Safety received a report of possible illegal activity. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1 p.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD, Conger. Information was received regarding damage to an electrical lock on doors between suite bathrooms. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

JANUARY 27

12:15 a.m. UNSECURED DOOR, Borzello Hall. Campus Safety Officers on patrol reported finding an unsecured door during a routine building check.

7:25 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Hamblin. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by burned food.

11 p.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Neal. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of an unregistered party with alcohol present. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

JANUARY 28

12:15 a.m. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Elder. Campus Safety received a report of a cannabis smell in the building.

12:45 a.m. NOISE, Hamblin. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

12:50 a.m. DISTURBANCE, Hamblin. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of a disturbance. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

JANUARY 29

2:40 a.m. FIRE ALARM, 240 W. Tompkins. Galesburg Fire Department, Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a pull station. No smoke or fire was present.

JANUARY 30

2:59 a.m. MEDICAL, 240 W. Tompkins. A student was transported for treatment of an injury received from a fall. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

3:30 p.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Library. A subject became ineligible to use the computers after numerous violations of the computer use policy.

JANUARY 31

8:30 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Sellew. A Pepsi machine in the basement was damaged.
