Campus Safety Log: Feb. 1-6

FEBRUARY 1

2 p.m. ANIMAL COMPLAINT, Hamblin. An opossum trapped in a window well was removed.

4:25 p.m. FIRE ALARM, 516 S. West. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by incense. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

FEBRUARY 3

12:10 a.m. FOUND PROPERTY, Seymour Hall. A purse was left in Founders Lab. The owner was contacted.

9 a.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Library. Information was received regarding a personal matter.

1 p.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Hall. Information was received regarding a possible attempted theft that occurred fall term.

3 p.m. MISSING PERSON, Main Campus Grounds. A person was located after a family member reported them missing.

FEBRUARY 4

2:35 a.m. NOISE, Hamblin. A complaint was received regarding loud subjects. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

2:50 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Hamblin. Eggs were smashed on the hallway walls.

7:15 a.m. INFORMATION, Seymour Hall. Maintenance was called to light the grills in Dining Services.

11: 30 a.m. INFORMATION, Simonds. A work order was submitted for a lock on the entrance door.

9:25 p.m. DISTURBANCE, Hamblin. While checking on a disturbance, officers on patrol found an unauthorized party with alcohol in progress. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

11:15 p.m. NOISE, 516 S. West. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of an unauthorized party with alcohol in progress. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

FEBRUARY 5

12:09 a.m. NOISE, Hamblin. Campus Safety responded to a complaint of excessive noise.

1:45 a.m. 911 HANG-UP, Hamblin. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang-up call from the emergency phone north of Hamblin. Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety checked the area and found no problems.

4:25 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Elder. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.

5:15 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Elder. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

10:45 p.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Drew. While checking a disturbance, officers on patrol found an unauthorized party with alcohol in progress.

FEBRUARY 6

9:25 a.m. INFORMATION, Sellew. Campus Safety received a complaint of smoking in the building.

9:30 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Hamblin. Galesburg Fire Department and Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by cooking.
