Letters to the Editor: A welcome to the Young America’s Foundation

We, the Knox College Democrats, would like to publicly welcome Knox’s new Young America’s Foundation (YAF) chapter. As Alex Uzarowicz wrote in his column, “Knox needs more diversity.” We could not agree more. Since the Democrats reorganized last winter, we’ve felt the need for greater diversity of opinion on campus. Knox prides itself on being a place where all opinions can be heard and it is unfortunate that many students are met with hostility when voicing their political beliefs. We look forward to running open forums with YAF and increasing the level of political discourse at Knox.
