MAY 2

3:55 p.m. 911 HANG UP, Hamblin. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang-up call accidentally dialed from a student cell phone.

7 p.m. FIRE ALARM, Beta House. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a malfunction in the system. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

MAY 3

5:20 a.m. INFORMATION, Ford Center for the Fine Arts. An elevator was not operating properly. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

6:12 p.m. 911 HANG UP, Umbeck Science and Mathematics Center. Campus Safety responded to a 911 call activated by a malfunction. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

6:15 p.m. FIRE ALARM – MALFUNCTION, Beta House. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a malfunction in the system. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

MAY 4

5:15 p.m. 911 HANG UP, Williston. Public Safety Building reported a 911 hang-up call from the emergency phone in the parking lot. No problems were found in the area.

6:03 p.m. MEDICAL, Raub. A student was transported for the treatment of an illness. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

10:35 p.m. NOISE, Conger. Campus Safety referred to a complaint of loud music. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

10:45 p.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Simonds. An officer responding to a complaint of loud music found an unauthorized party in progress with alcohol present. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MAY 5

2:35 a.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Main Campus Grounds. A student was arrested by the Galesburg Police Department for public intoxication north of the Umbeck Science and Mathematics Center on South Street. Administrative tickets were issued to two visitors for the same violation. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

4:30 a.m. DISTURBANCE, Main Campus Grounds. A student reported hearing two people arguing outside near the Peterson House. Campus Safety Officers checked the area and found no problems.

4 p.m. SUICIDE THREAT, Main Campus Grounds. A despondent person expressed thoughts of self-harm. A counselor was contacted. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

MAY 6

12:35 a.m. INFORMATION, Neal. Campus Safety Officers on patrol observed students smoking in the building. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

2:55 a.m. CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Hamblin. An emergency light, exit sign and wall heating unit were damaged by a student. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

4:26 a.m. 911 HANG UP, 697 S. West. Campus Safety responded after 911 was pocket dialed from a student’s cell phone.

6:50 a.m. TROUBLE ALARM, Fleming Fieldhouse. Campus Safety responded to a trouble alarm activated by high water in the sub-basement area. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.

7:05 a.m. FIRE ALARM, Neal. Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by a room detector. No apparent cause was found for the alarm activation.
