Campus Safety Log: Oct. 26 – Nov. 1

Oct. 24

12:05 a.m., SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Hamblin Hall — Campus safety responded to a report of a suspicious person.

7:30 a.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, off-campus location — Campus safety officers received reports of possible alcohol violation at an athletic event. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

Oct. 26

7:50 p.m., WELL-BEING CHECK, Post Hall — Campus safety officers checked on the well-being of a student at the request of an R.A. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

10 p.m., TROUBLE ALARM, Peterson House — ADT reported a problem with the fire alarm system. A work order was submitted.

Oct. 27

3:08 A.M., INFORMATION, Off-campus location — The Galesburg Police Department received a report of shots fired outside Quick Sam’s during a disturbance. No injuries were reported in the search. The suspect reportedly ran east from the scene. A campus alert was issued.

6:30 p.m., MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, Off-campus location — A student was reported damaging a rental vehicle while on college business.

Oct. 28

12:10 a.m., CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Raub Hall — Campus Safety officers received a report in early incident where a suite was littered with debris and egged. The matter was referred to the Office of Student Development.

3:30 a.m., MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, W. South Street., 100 block — A Knox student was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.
