11:30 p.m, ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Seymour Hall ­— Campus Safety received a report of underage drinking. The incident was referred to the Office of Student Development.

12:15 p.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Beta Theta Pi ­— Information regarding an incident that occurred fall term was reported. The incident was referred to OSD.
Jan. 18
8:50 a.m., FIRE ALARM, Elder House — Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by the use of a hair straightening iron.
Jan. 19
12:15 a.m., CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Beta Theta Pi — The Galesburg Police Department and Campus Safety responded to a report that a subject had broken out a window. The incident was referred to OSD.
2:25 a.m., NOISE, Hamblin Hall — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects. The incident was referred to OSD.
1:28 p.m., FIRE ALARM, Longden House — Campus Safety responded to an alarm activated by cooking.
9:40 p.m., DISTURBANCE, Post Hall — Campus Safety responded to a report of subjects arguing outside of the Out Post Convenience Store. The incident was referred to OSD.
Jan. 20
3 a.m., SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Main campus grounds — A student reported being followed by three male subjects in the area of the quads.
8 p.m., INFORMATION, Post Hall­ — Campus Safety received a complaint of a cannabis smell.
Jan. 21
1:51 a.m., MALFUNCTION, Peterson House — Campus Safety responded to an alarm malfunction caused by weather conditions. A work order was submitted to correct the problem.
8:10 p.m., INFORMATION, Main campus grounds — Campus Safety received a report of a possible altercation between students at an earlier time. The incident was referred to OSD.

Julian Boireau
Julian Boireau is a senior majoring in international relations and minoring in French. This is his fourth year working for TKS, having served as co-news editor during his sophomore and junior years. He has been involved in journalism for seven years, serving as opinions editor of the newspaper and editor-in-chief of the literary magazine at Palisades Charter High School in Los Angeles, California. In September 2012, Julian received press credentials to attend the annual meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative in New York City, where he reported on remarks by President Barack Obama and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney. He is also the recipient of back-to-back first place awards from the Illinois College Press Association for front page layout.
