Campus Safety Log April 15-22: Students observed digging in the quads

April 15

7:40 p.m., SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Post Hall — Campus Safety responded to a report of a smell of cannabis smoke in the building.

April 16

8:30 p.m., CANNABIS VIOLATION, Post Hall — Campus Safety confiscated a pipe and a small amount of cannabis after investigating a complaint. The incident was referred to the Office of Student Development.

April 17

9 p.m., SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Post Hall — Campus Safety responded to a report of a cannabis smell in the building.

April 18

2:52 a.m., NOISE, 516 S. West St. — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud subjects. The incident was referred to OSD.

April 19

8:40 p.m., MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, 500 block of South West Street — A student reported seeing a vehicle strike a parked car and leave the area. Galesburg police were contacted.

April 20

12:10 a.m., MISCHIEVOUS CONDUCT, Main campus grounds — A large tree branch was placed in the hallway of a campus building by a student. The incident was referred to OSD.

12:35 a.m., CRIMINAL DAMAGE, Williston Hall — A fire door window was broken in a hallway.

1:45 a.m., MISCHIEVOUS CONDUCT, Main campus grounds — Students were observed digging in the area of the quads. The incident was referred to OSD.

3:34 a.m., MISCHIEVOUS CONDUCT, Furrow Hall — Students observed on a window ledge were advised to go back inside. The incident was referred to OSD.

11:50 p.m., FIRE ALARM, Elder Hall — Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm activated by students smoking in a room. The incident was referred to OSD.

April 21

11:55 a.m., THEFT, Seymour Hall — A bicycle was reported stolen from the area by the south entrance.

April 22

12:45 a.m., SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, Main campus grounds — Campus Safety received a report of a suspicious subject running past the library toward the quads. GPD and Campus Safety checked the area and were unable to find anyone with the given description.

6:15 a.m., RECKLESS CONDUCT, Neifert Hall — A student was acting in a threatening manner toward other students. The incident was referred to OSD.
