Campus Safety log: Drinking in the heating plant

1 p.m., SEXUAL ASSAULT, main campus grounds — Campus Safety completed a report of unwanted physical contact between acquaintances from last calendar year. The incident was referred to the Office of Student Development.

1:30 p.m., INFORMATION, off-campus location — Campus Safety received a report of a possible victim of criminal activity. The report was determined to be unfounded.

11 p.m., INFORMATION, main campus grounds — Campus Safety received a silent witness report of possible criminal activity.

May 23

5:40 p.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, heating plant — Campus Safety observed a subject with open alcohol. The incident was referred to OSD.

6 p.m., THEFT, Tau Kappa Epsilon — A student reported a picnic table missing from the rear porch. It was located and returned.

May 24

5 p.m., INFORMATION, off-campus location — Campus Safety received a report of a conflict between a Knox graduate and a student from the previous year.

May 25

11:45 a.m., INFORMATION, Green Oaks — Campus Safety received a report of students leaving garbage and alcohol on the grounds. The incident was referred to OSD.

2 p.m., NOISE, Williston Hall — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud music. The incident was referred to OSD.

2:45 a.m., THREATS, off-campus location — Campus Safety responded to a report of threats.

3:02 p.m., NOISE, 240 W. Tompkins St. — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of loud noise. The incident was referred to OSD.

7:30 p.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, 270 W. Tompkins St. — A Campus Safety officer on patrol found an unregistered party with alcohol in progress. The incident was referred to OSD.

11:37 p.m., CANNABIS VIOLATION, Raub Hall — Campus Safety Officers investigating a smoke odor found cannabis and paraphernalia in a student’s room. The incident was referred to OSD.

May 26

12:26 a.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Hamblin Hall — Campus Safety responded to a report of student with alcohol in hallways and common areas. The incident was referred to OSD.

11:20 a.m., MEDICAL, George Davis Hall — A subject was transported by ambulance for treatment.

May 27

2:35 a.m., THEFT, T. Fleming Fieldhouse — $40 was reported missing from a locker.

6 p.m., THEFT, Post Hall — A bicycle was reported stolen.

 

Note: The crime lab still has yet to return results regarding a sexual assault that took place in January in Hamblin. These results would prove the guilt or innocence of the student who was asked to leave campus in conjunction with the assault.
