Former advancement worker arrested for child porn

A man who formerly worked in Advancement was arrested on child pornography charges on Tuesday, according the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Bruce Downsbrough, 60, was fired from his current job as chief operating officer at the University of Tennessee Foundation two days after the charges were brought.

He faces four counts of child pornography after authorities found illicit material on his home computer and 19 disks during a November raid.

In addition to Knox and the University of Tennessee, he has also worked at the University of Colorado-Boulder, Kalamazoo College in Michigan and Union College in New York.

His attorney declined to comment.
