Rep. Cheri Bustos to open Galesburg office

Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-East Moline) will open a satellite office in Galesburg, according to a press release.

Bustos is a first term congresswoman representing Illinois’ 17th district, which includes Galesburg. She ousted tea party Republican Bobby Schilling in the November 2012 election.

Bustos is opening her fourth district office at 119 E. Main St. According to Communications Director Colin Milligan, the office will be staffed two days per month, and it will be opened for appointments and meetings as necessary.

There will be an open house at the new location at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Bustos also has district offices in Rock Island, Peoria and Rockford.
