President Obama to visit Galesburg, Knox

President Barack Obama’s visit to Galesburg Wednesday may include a speech at Knox College, The Galesburg Register-Mail is reporting.

A Register-Mail source in the Galesburg Police Department confirmed that Obama’s “tentative” itinerary includes speaking at Knox. This will be Obama’s first visit to Galesburg since his surprise stop at Galesburg High School in 2011.

There are few details available on Wednesday’s trip, but Obama will use Galesburg as a backdrop for a speech on the economy.
