Public radio has hit the Galesburg airwaves. Tri States Public Radio has officially started broadcasting on the 90.7 FM wavelength. Listeners will now receive National Public Radio programming while using an analog radio tuned in to the 90.7 FM frequency.
For those tuning in on a digital radio, standard in most vehicles made after 2008, the HD1 stream will feature TSPR programming and the HD2 stream will feature WVKC as it has always operated. WVKC will also feature improved online streaming quality for student-run programming as a result of the new equipment installed in the radio station by TSPR.
