Campus Safety Log: 4 cannabis violations in one week

Nov. 12

12:25 a.m., MEDICAL, Post Hall — Galesburg fire and ambulance services responded to a report of a student in need of medical treatment. The incident was referred to OSD.

Nov. 11

6:43 p.m., INFORMATION, 294 W. Tompkins St. — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of a cannabis smell.

4:15 p.m., MEDICAL, CFA — A person was transported by ambulance for treatment of an illness.

12:40 a.m., INFORMATION, Griffith Hall — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of someone smoking cannabis outside of Griffith Hall.

Nov. 9

11:20, INFORMATION, Hamblin Hall — Campus Safety received a complaint of a cat in the building hallways.

6:09 p.m., FIRE ALARM, 270 W. Tompkins St. — GFD responded to a fire alarm activated by smoking in the building. One student was found in possession of a substance believed to be cannabis during the building check. The incident was referred to the Office of Student Development.

Nov. 8

10:30 p.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Hamblin Hall — An unauthorized party with alcohol was found in progress when an officer was checking the building. The incident was referred to OSD.

Nov. 6

4:10 p.m., CANNABIS VIOLATION, Sherwin Hall — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of students smoking cannabis outside of Sherwin. The incident was referred to OSD.
