Record number of applications submitted to Knox

Knox has received its largest number of applicants in its history already this year, with some 2,950 potential students sending in applications so far. This puts Knox on pace to receive over 3,000 total  from which to select the Class of 2018.

At this time last year, there were 2,546 applications sent in.

President of the College Teresa Amott credited the increase to several factors, including a change in the message admissions staff told potential applicants and the larger role the school’s athletic coaches played in recruitment.

The school’s regular decision deadline is Feb. 1, although applications will generally still come in past the deadline for a variety of reasons. Amott says that she still hopes to collect another 200.
