Campus Safety Log: Campus Safety and GPD respond to threats made to a student by an acquaintance

Feb. 2

12:15 a.m., DISTURBANCE, 362 S. Academy St. — Campus Safety and Galesburg police responded to a call regarding a disturbance at a residence hall. The incident was referred to the Office of Student Development.

Jan. 30

11:25 p.m., TROUBLE ALARM, Hamblin Hall — Campus Safety responded to an alarm caused by a carbon monoxide detector. A work order was submitted.

8:53 p.m., THEFT, Memorial Gym — Campus Safety and GPD responded to a report of personal items stolen from a locker at Memorial Gym. An investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 29

8:16 p.m., THREATS, Post Hall — Campus Safety and GPD responded to information regarding threats made to a student by a person with whom the student was in a relationship. The subject was banned from campus, and a campus alert was sent out.

Jan. 27

 3:30 p.m., SEXUAL MISCONDUCT — Campus Safety was notified of an allegation of sexual harassment estimated to have occurred in September 2010.

Jan. 21

1 p.m., SEXUAL MISCONDUCT, Post Hall — Campus Safety opened an investigation into an allegation of sexual harassment that occurred between two persons known to each other in November 2013.

Sept. 17, 2013

THREATS, off-campus location — Campus Safety opened an investgation into allegations of threats made to a student by an acquaintance. An investigation was completed and referred to OSD.

Aug. 19, 2013

ALCOHOL VIOLATION, off-campus location — Campus Safety received information regarding alcohol consumption by underage persons at an off-campus address. The incident was referred to OSD.

May 2013

SEXUAL MISCONDUCT, off-campus location — Campus Safety opened an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment that occurred between persons known to each other in September 2012. An investigation has been completed, and the incident was referred to the Title IX coordinator.
