Campus Safety Log: 2 sexual assault investigations opened

10:15 a.m., DOMESTIC, Hamblin Hall — Campus Safety responded to a report of a domestic issue in a campus residence. Officers left when the area was secure. The incident was referred to the Office of Student Development.

March 9

3:07 a.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, Beta Theta Pi — A beer pong table was discovered while Campus Safety responded to a report of mischievous conduct. The incident was referred to OSD.

3:08 a.m., ALCOHOL VIOLATION, main campus grounds — Campus Safety confiscated an open container of alcohol from an underage student. The incident was referred to OSD.

March 8

3:15 p.m., CANNABIS VIOLATION, Seymour Hall — Officers responded to a report of a strong cannabis odor. The cannabis and paraphernalia were confiscated. The incident was referred to OSD.

2:35 p.m., CANNABIS VIOLATION, Phi Gamma Delta — Campus Safety confiscated cannabis and paraphernalia while responding to an alarm. The incident was referred to OSD.

March 6

7:28 p.m., CANNABIS VIOLATION, Sellew Hall — Campus Safety responded to a strong odor of cannabis. The incident was referred to OSD.

5:31 p.m., FIRE, main campus grounds — A garbage can fire was extinguished in the quads.

March 5

September 2012, SEXUAL ASSAULT, Campbell Hall — Campus Safety opened an investigation into an allegation of sexual assault that occurred in Campbell Hall in September 2012 between two persons who were in a relationship.

Fall term 2013, SEXUAL ASSAULT, Tau Kappa Epsilon — Campus Safety opened an investigation into two allegations of sexual assault that occurred in TKE at the end of fall term 2013 between two persons who were in a relationship.

8:45 p.m., THEFT, Elder Hall — Campus Safety was notified of missing electronic devices in Elder Hall.

1:30 p.m., ATTEMPTED SUICIDE, GDH — Campus Safety, OSD and the Galesburg Fire Department responded to a student requiring medical attention.

March 3

7:30 p.m., BURGLARY, Neifert Hall — Campus Safety and GPD were notified of a missing laptop.
