Campus Safety Log: Thief banned from campus

Oct. 13

1:05 p.m, THEFT, Campus — Campus Safety responded to a report of an unwanted subject that had stolen a bicycle from a campus bike rack. The item was recovered. The individual was arrested and banned from campus. Campus safety sent out a campus-wide alert.

Oct. 11

7:54 p.m., ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, George Davis Hall — Campus Safety took a report of accidental damage to a handrail outside of an administrative building. Notifications were made.

Oct. 10

7:01 a.m., CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, Sherwin Hall ­— Campus Safety took a report of graffiti on exterior walls to a residential unit. A work order has been submitted.

Oct. 9

8:26 p.m., CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY, Seymour Library — Campus Safety took a report of graffiti on shelves at the library.

Oct. 8

10:55 a.m, DISTURBANCE, George Davis Hall — Campus Safety and GPD responded to a request from Galesburg Public Safety Communications to investigate a 911 hangup.

5:30 p.m., WEAPON VIOLATION, 240 W.  Tompkins ­— Campus Safety discovered an item in violation of the college weapon policy during routine fire drills. The item was confiscated and notifications were made.

6:51 p.m., ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE, Campus — Campus Safety took a report of damage to a vehicle likely the result of a baseball game.
