Campus Safety Log: Unwanted persons on campus, vehicle accident

Jan. 8

2:00 p.m., SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD Campus — Campus Safety took a report of covered smoke detectors discovered by Residential Life during holiday break residential hall checks.

2:20 p.m., CHECK THE WELL BEING, Williston Hall — Campus Safety checked a student’s well being at the request of concerned students. Contact was made, well being confirmed and contact was made with a counselor.

2:30 p.m. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT, Campus — Campus Safety took a report of telephone harassment. Notifications were made to Title IX, OSD and GPD.

9:15 p.m. SAFETY CONCERN/HAZARD, Campbell Hall — Campus Safety responded to a report of cigarette smoke in a residential unit. The violation was confirmed and the covered smoke detector was discovered.

10:18 p.m., SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT, CFA — Campus Safety responded to a report of an unwanted subject at the Gizmo. Contact was made and the subject departed campus.

Jan. 7

2:10 p.m.,LOST ITEM, 480 S. West Street — Campus Safety responded to a report of a missing cell phone; item was recovered.

Jan. 6

9:20 a.m., BURGULARY, Drew Hall — Campus Safety opened an investigation into a report of unauthorized entrance into a residential unit and theft of property; notifications were made.

Jan. 4

10:45 a.m., MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT, Off Campus — Campus Safety took a report of a motor vehicle accident involving an Enterprise rental vehicle; notifications were made.
