Campus Safety: Cannabis violation, vehicle theft in this week’s campus safety log

11:52 a.m. MISCHIEVOUS CONDUCT, 284 W. Tompkins — Campus Safety took a report of graffiti discovered in a campus parking lot.

3 p.m. TROUBLE ALARM, 516 S. West St. — Campus Safety responded to a line alarm inadvertently caused by work being done to service the system.

May 1

1:20 a.m. ALCOHOL VIOLATION, CFA — Campus Safety found a student drinking in a lounge during routine patrol.

3:32 a.m. CANNABIS VIOLATION, Williston Hall — Campus Safety responded to a complaint of cannabis odor from a residence.

April 30

8:12 p.m. LOST OR MISPLACED ITEM, Campus — Campus Safety took a report of a lost wallet.

April 28

7:59 a.m. ACCIDENTAL FIRE ALARM, 251 S. West St. — Campus Safety and GFD responded to a fire alarm caused by shower steam.

1:32 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT, 284 W. Tompkins — Campus Safety and GPD took a report of a vehicle stolen from a campus parking lot.

April 27

1:46 p.m. THEFT, Post Hall — Campus Safety and GPD received a report of a stolen car stereo.

Gavin Crowell
Gavin Crowell is a senior psychology major with minors in neuroscience and journalism. He has been writing and editing for TKS since his freshman year. He has won three ICPA awards: 1st Place Sports News Story, 2nd Place Sports Feature Story and 3rd Place Sports Page Layout. During the summer after his sophomore year, Gavin had an internship with the Chicago Sun-Times, covering teams such as the Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks and Fire. Following graduation, he intends to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
