Weekly Sports Brief

Football — The Prairie Fire competed against Monmouth College in the 129th Turkey Bowl. Knox fell to the Scots 10-52. Football will have their last competition at home on Nov. 17. against Lawrence University. 

Men’s soccer — The men fell to Grinnell College after overtime 3-2. The men put up a good fight and suffered a narrow loss in the first round of the Midwest Conference Tournament. Their overall season record was 13-3-4.

Women’s soccer  The women have seen immense success in their program as of late. The Fire defeated Grinnell in the first round of the MWC tournament 1-0 and went on to beat Monmouth College in the final 3-1.

Women’s basketball — Women’s basketball had a scrimmage against Coe College and lost, yet are still in very high spirits and looking forward to competition. The women will compete Nov. 15. against Eureka College in Memorial Gym.

Swimming and Diving — In their most recent meet at Illinois College, the women saw success. They beat Principia 124-32, lost to Illinois College 90-101 and fell to Millikin 72-152. The men fell to all three.
