Over the past six seasons, the Knox College women’s basketball program has an overall record of 19-118 and a 5-91 record in the Midwest Conference.

But first year head coach Emily Cline believes the record will improve.

Last Thursday, the Knox College Prairie Fire volleyball team hosted the Panthers of Greenville College and was defeated in three close sets 24-26, 25-27, and 21-25.

The Prairie Fire were led by junior Katharina Schulte with 21 kills, one ace, and two blocks, while Knox’s two seniors, Jaclyn Anderson and Shannon Liston, combined to have 14 kills, one ace, and three blocks in their final game inside Memorial Gym on Tim Heimann Court.

Last Saturday, at Jorge Prats Soccer Field, the Prairie Fire women’s soccer team played Midwest Conference (MWC) opponent Grinnell College and was defeated 5-0, but this year’s game was not a repeat of last year.

“Last year, we lost to them 12-0,” said junior Cassie Milleville. “Coming into the game, we wanted to make sure we played as hard as we could and block out what happened last year.”

Last weekend, the Knox College women’s soccer team lost two Midwest Conference (MWC) games in Wisconsin and ever since, they have lost.
