Letters to the editor: Jessica and Evan

We are writing in response to last week’s article "The long road of an AVM" by Evan Temchin. Jessica Platt is our RA and the suddenness and severity of her situation has been a real shock to us. We’ve been very worried about her, but the efforts of her boyfriend, Evan, have helped us cope with the situation. We would like to thank him for so many things. From day one he has made sure that we, the residents of Raub three, have remained informed as to JP’s condition. Though it was obviously very difficult for him to talk about, he never tried to sugarcoat the facts and was always honest with us. He has brought her our cards, CDs, wishes for her well-being and gone as far as to offer to take us to visit her. He even offered to act as a mediator between us and the administration in situations the RA would normally handle. There is so much more that we cannot think of at this moment. We would like to commend him on the strength that he has shown throughout this whole ordeal. The only thing left to say is thank you. We truly appreciate all that you have done for us and JP.

Thanks again,

The Residents of Raub three
