Theatre to cast Knoxwurst

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Playwrights’ Workshop will be holding auditions for its winter shows in Studio Theatre at 7:30 p.m.

This term’s festival will go by the name and theme of Knoxwurst: the foil to all of what PW Director senior Jackie Hewelt called sickeningly competent shows with the very worst theatre can try to offer. Inspired by Drekfest, an annual national contest for the worst 10-minute play, the 15 minutes or under scripts promise to be chock full with the worst playwriting Knox has to offer.

Auditioning requires no monologues. The audition will instead consist of cold reads from the submitted plays. No prior experience is required and would-be actors are welcomed.
Knoxwurst will be unveiled on Feb. 7 and 8 at 7:30 p.m.  Please direct any questions to Jackie Hewelt at
