Campus Safety Log: Hate crime, medical assistance highlight this week’s log

March 2

8:10 a.m. MEDICAL, Campus — Campus Safety responded to a staff person requiring medical attention; staff person transported to St. Mary’s via Campus Safety.

2:35 p.m. CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO PROPERTY, Furrow Hall — Campus Safety and GPD responded to a report of a banned individual in a residential unit; trespass was unfounded.

5:30 p.m. CHECK THE WELL BEING, Neal Hall — Campus Safety checked a student’s well being at the request of concerned person.

6 p.m. INFORMATION, Fitness Center — Campus Safety received a RAVE Panic Alert from a student. The well being was confirmed; accidental activation.

6:48 p.m. INFORMATION, Campus — Campus Safety made arrangements to return a lost wallet to an alum.

March 1

7:10 p.m. THEFT, CFA — Campus Safety took a report of a theft of rolls of dance flooring from an administrative building; property had been removed by authorized persons, unfounded.

Feb. 28

6:08 a.m. ACCIDENTAL FIRE ALARM, Williston — Campus Safety responded to a fire alarm caused by either an e-cigarette or an air freshener.

Feb. 27

12:57 p.m. HATE CRIME, Campus — Campus Safety opened an investigation into a racial slur yelled at a student by an occupant(s) of a passing vehicle on a public street.

9:38 p.m. MEDICAL, Fleming Fieldhouse — Campus Safety, GPD, GFD and GHAS responded to a local resident requiring medical attention while attending an event at the college. The resident was transported to St. Mary’s via GHAS.
