Keith Archer will replace Tom Axtell as Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services, Teresa Amott announced in an email today.
Archer’s most recent experience is at DePauw University as executive director of finance and controller. Archer’s background spans retail, corporate, accounting and academia. He is a graduate of Maryville University in St. Louis, where he majored in accounting and minored in management and became a certified public accountant (CPA).
“Once the committee and I met Keith, we knew his experience, community engagement, work ethic and management style were a strong fit with Knox,” Amott said in an email.
Archer will oversee the business office, dining services, campus safety, facilities, human resources and the bookstore. He will start his position in mid-August.
“All of the areas reporting to Keith, including campus safety, dining services, and facilities, are key components of the Knox 2018 strategic plan. I am confident that Keith will not only keep our strategic initiatives moving forward, but will lead, initiate, and implement exciting changes,” Amott said.
The committee and search consultants had been looking for Axtell’s replacement for the last six months.
