President Amott’s contract to be renewed five years

President Teresa Amott’s contract has been renewed for an additional five years, Chair of the Board of Trustees Duke Petrovich ’74 announced this week.

The Board of Trustees has been conducting her five-year review since October, and considered input from faculty, staff and students.

“The clear and well-articulated strategic vision for Knox’s future, strong relations with the various constituencies of the College, significant improvements to campus, including the opening of Alumni Hall and progress on the new Whitcomb Art Building, as well as ongoing fundraising success, were all cited as her many contributions to the College,” Petrovich said in an email.

Amott was elected as President in 2011 as the 19th and first female president.
