Player of the Week, Rebecca Katz

Senior Rebecca Katz was named the Midwest Conference Women’s Cross Country Performer of the week back in mid-September after the UW-Whitewater competition.

Katz has come out strong this season and has been an important component of the team. At the Beloit Olde English Invitational, Katz placed first with a time of 21:08.3. She was almost a whole minute faster than the next finisher. This helped the women clutch a third place finish at the invitational.

At the Les Duke Invitational at Grinnell in early September, Katz finished with a time of 23:54, the fifth fastest in Knox history. She holds the top seven performances in school history.

At Bradley University more recently, Katz finished 17th out of almost 80 runners with a time of 24:48. The women placed eighth out of ten teams.

The cross country teams will compete next in Jacksonville, Ill. in the Midwest Conference Championships Oct. 27th and 28th, where Katz will hopefully continue to dominate.
