Faculty Meeting Briefing: Faculty approve archaeology minor

A new minor in archaeology was approved during the first 2019 Faculty Meeting on Jan. 14. The minor was proposed by Assistant Professor of Biology Matthew Jones-Rhoades, who had done research on the costs of maintaining the program before he made the proposal. The program will make use of courses already offered in the curriculum as well as an “Introduction to Archaeology” course that will be required for the minor. The minor was approved with a voice vote.

President Teresa Amott introduced the new V.P. of Finance Paul Eisenmenger who stated that he has had experience with higher education as well as the business environment in Illinois.
