Player of the Week

Junior Kobe Shutter has proven to be a great baseballer in his three years on the Knox team. His freshman season, Shutter had 16 runs, and a .279 batting average. However, his sophomore season, Shutter increased his batting average to .333, still holding 15 runs on the season. The field is where Shutter really shines. His sophomore season, Shutter had 126 putouts, with a fielding percentage of .968, and only gaining an impressive five errors.

This season, although just beginning, Shutter already has 17 runs and a batting average of .277. In the field this season, Shutter has 87 putouts and a fielding percentage of .938. This was at a season high when the Fire played Albright College, where Shutter had an impressive 14 putouts. Shutter has also been pitching this season, where he’s earned 10 strikeouts only pitching 10.2 innings. Shutter will look to increase his statistics in the next game in the doubleheader against Illinois College on April 20.
